O About O

“Hello! My name is Zoë Zita Mesman and in 2021 I graduated from ArtEZ Fashion Design (BA) in Arnhem (the Netherlands). I am fascinated by mythology, fairytales and psychedelic music cultures. During my graduation I started working on ‘Zoë Zita’ and shortly after, in 2022 the label was founded. ”
In her graduation collection, she has focused on oversaturation with textile exploration, thematic references and detailing. In the following collection in 2022, Zoë wanted to explore how she could translate this same design aesthetic in a more simplistic, material-focussed way; basing the collection around mesh, while keeping layered elements.
In 2023, Zoë Zita came out with a Ready to Wear narrative for Flip Kwakkel’s & Zoë Zita’s project ‘Falling Into Place’. This collection harmoniously balanced the findings of the previous collections into the brand identity.
While designing, Zoë enjoys exploring the beauty found in layering, print, colors and textiles. With a heavy focus on stretch materials, her designs blur the lines between function and decoration, often incorporating lingerie elements in her garments. The label wants to create a space that caters towards self-expression and finding joy in exploring individual identity. Zoë Zita draws inspiration from art and fashion within alternative music cultures.
The aim with the label is to shift the consumer's focus from a fast-paced fast-fashion industry towards a slower style, with locally-made items that cost more, but will be worn with love for much longer. To ensure the best wearing experience, items can be made to size, so it fits exactly how you would like it, Zoë Zita also provides a rental service of her products, for more information, feel free to reach out!
All garments are designed, developed and produced in her studio in Arnhem, which is part of the collective store & studio she shares with Aliet Moes & Silvy ten Broeke.
Brand Structure
Understanding the structure of a label can be confusing, what's with al the sub-brands? And what are they for?
Zoë Zita is divided into three coexisting parts:

01
02
03
Ready to wear line
Runway &
Stage wear line
Both collections designed for the runway and custom looks for performers, artists and musicians fall under stage wear label Zoë Zita.
All garments are unique and custom made to size in our studio.
Specific garments from the stage wear/runway collections will be made, to sell on this webshop and in the store on the Klarendalseweg in Arnhem. Also the upcycled line falls under ready to wear.
These garments are produced in small scale batches in our studio.

Lingerie line
The lingerie collection Psyched is a separate line under the same designer Zoë Zita. It aims to bring you lingerie that is both
fun and sexy.
This line is produced in small scale batches in our studio.

Sustainablity aims
All garments from all lines are made in our studio at the Klarendalseweg. Either by Zoë and/or one of the studio interns. We do not rely on production in factories and always care about producing as sustainable as possible. Most materials used are deadstock, Rpet, repurposed or vintage and we also make use of our off-cuts for smaller garments like the Mini Starlet Line.
Additionally we use new high quality materials. For instance the linings of the lingerie garments and fusing.
As we believe durability and quality go hand in hand with sustainability.
